Janis McElroy – Artist Statement
During my 22 year teaching career, I took occasional watercolor and art classes. After my retirement in 2013, I began painting in earnest. The process of painting is a form of meditation for me as I focus on the intricate details nature provides. Flowers and birds are among my favorite subjects.
