Sy Novak – Artist Statement
Sy has been in the business of graphic design and advertising for over 40 years, winning numerous awards. Designing everything from logos, brochures and posters to helping authors birth new books, is always exciting, fresh and fun. In addition, she has designed and coordinated the Vashon Island Studio Tour (now VIVA) since holiday 2004.
To balance the intense discipline required to deliver on-time and on-budget, she creates whimsical beaded artwork… one bead at a time. Says Sy, “it’s very zen.”
