Artist Statement
Being a photographer, I am by nature a visually oriented person. I use a camera to express myself and to communicate how I feel about things I experience. I am not a casual photographer; I work diligently to craft my images and I feel they should stand independently without need of explanation.
If you’d like to know more about my photography, please visit my website. The “Collections” page is rather large, designed for commercial image researchers and is a collaboration with Mary Liz Austin, my wife and partner. My more personal images can be found by scrolling through the photo essays on the site’s main page or going to “Terry’s Projects” page.
