This class aims to help 2D and 3D visual artists understand how competitive art exhibitions and contests work, and how to use online resources to enter them. Both rewards and risks are examined in an even-handed way. Class learning objectives: •Understand factors that motivate people to enter art competitions •Be aware of prerequisites necessary to enter competitions •Recognize benefits and risks associated with participating in competitions •Navigate to websites that facilitate entry into many international, national, regional, and local art competitions •Be able to begin planning how your art should be prepped, packaged and shipped to the competition sponsor-either online or in real life Since 2017, Michael Elenko's photographs have been included in 14 international juried exhibitions across the US.
