Spring Tour Announcement

The 2020 Spring Vashon Island Art Studio Tour, traditionally the first two weekends in May, has been canceled this year due to coronavirus concerns.

While the tour isn’t happening, art must go on. Check out the slideshow above to see artwork selected from 2020’s Spring Tour submissions. Most artists are happy to connect if you like something you see.

The VIVA Holiday Art Studio Tour, always the first two weekends in December, is already being planned. Mark your calendars for December 5-6 & 12-13.

The Artists of the Vashon Island Art Studio tour thank you for your understanding and continued patronage.

Welcome to Vashon Island Visual Artists

The goal of Vashon Island Visual Artists (VIVA) is connecting artists to each other and the community, to support the needs of out members personally and artistically, to empower creativity through education and exhibition, and to preserve the artistic culture that has been fundamental to our island community for decades.

VIVA is 300 strong and growing. We welcome all Vashon visual artists and supporters! VIVA, a newly founded non-profit, is a volunteer organization formed to support a 30+ year open studio tour tradition. The first two weekends in May and again in December VIVA presents the all Island art studio tour where artists of almost every medium throw open their studio doors.

Vashon Island Visual Artists also hosts an annual membership meeting, an all member summer picnic, an organizational winter potluck, an all member invitational exhibit, the July Strawberry Festival information booth and educational scholarship fundraiser for Vashon High School graduates!

Become a member and supporter of VIVA and receive the VIVA Newsletter to learn about exhibitions, classes and salons connecting Vashon artists to patrons and promoting professional opportunities and practices.
