Welcome to Vashon Island Visual Artists
The goal of Vashon Island Visual Artists (VIVA) is connecting artists to each other and the community, to support the needs of out members personally and artistically, to empower creativity through education and exhibition, and to preserve the artistic culture that has been fundamental to our island community for decades.
VIVA is 300 strong and growing. We welcome all Vashon visual artists and supporters! VIVA is a non-profit, volunteer organization formed to support a more than 30-year open studio tour tradition. The first two weekends in May and again in December VIVA presents the all-Island art studio tour when artists of almost every medium throw open their studio doors.
Vashon Island Visual Artists also hosts an annual membership meeting, an all member summer picnic, an organizational winter potluck, an all-member invitational exhibit, and a booth during the Annual Vashon Strawberry Festival that raises funds for a scholarship for Vashon High School graduates!
Become a member and supporter of VIVA and receive the VIVA Newsletter to learn about exhibitions, classes and salons connecting Vashon artists to patrons and promoting professional opportunities and practices.
