I graduated from the University of Massachusetts, with a degree in Environmental Design, and later worked with design professionals in the fields of landscape architecture, architecture and civil engineering.
In the summer of 1993, I took one 6 – week course in watercolor painting and I loved it, deciding I would concentrate on mastering the medium. I especially admired the subtle beauty of watercolor landscape paintings. I like the way the water works its magic, taking control, blending colors, softening edges and creating scenes more beautiful than originally imagined
Although I have been painting in watercolors since 2007, my art is still evolving and I learn something new from each project. My style and subject matter has changed over the years; my style is more realistic and I currently focus on landscapes, portraits and florals. I try to capture the beauty and uniqueness of the world as we see it. Some of my paintings are reproduced as notecards and are available in local retail stores. I feel so fortunate to have this passion for painting, and to be able to share my vision. I enjoy every new project as an exciting and challenging experience.
