Christine Beck – Artist Statement
Christine D. Beck is a photographer, ceramic artist and licensed legal private investigator. During her artistic career, she has exhibited with Vashon Allied Arts as a Commissioned Artist, the Vashon Bookshop, the Little House, the Henry Gallery, Cheney Cowles Museum, Pacific Northwest Crafts Gallery, the Seattle Symphony Home Tour, King County Arts Commission, Vashon Gather, Portland Behind the Shoji and Richland Allied Arts Gallery. She has been the resident photographer for Vashon Island’s Lavender Sisters. Christine has also been a resident artist at Centrum Foundation in Port Townsend. In the past, Christine has also been an instructor for the National Endowment for the Arts, Cornish Institute, Vashon Allied Arts Artists in the School, King County Parks and, most recently with Ray Pfortner in Photography Teen Intensive and Transitioning to Digital classes. She is also a member of Northwest Designer Craftsmen.
